Debrishi Brahma (he/him) is a public health professional. Currently working as Research & Community Coordinator of Hopscotch Health, a Mumbai based digital health startup, Debrishi helps develop and refine digital tools for health behaviour change. He did his Masters in Public Health – Social Epidemiology at the School of Health System Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Prior to this, he graduated from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences as a dental surgeon. Debrishi has worked in public and private hospitals like SRIMS Durgapur, Ispat Cooperative Hospital, CNMCH and NRS Medical College, Kolkata. He currently volunteers with Pleqsus India Foundation, a non-profit conducting research & advocacy to support skill building & employment creation for GSM communities, and is one of the moderators of West Bengal Covid Action Network (WBCAN), a youth volunteer Covid support initiative.
He is passionate about health communication, health policy analysis, behavioral science, health of GSM communities and is a mental health advocate.
