Having done her mass communication from Sophia College, Mumbai. Prema Rajaram is currently working as a freelance media professional. With 14 years in the media industry which includes working in mainstream media as a broadcast journalist with National English news channels like News 18, NDTV, News X and Times Now in the past. Her work includes shooting stories of human interest, politics, sports and features and on air reporting in breaking news situations. She has covered elections in West Bengal, natural disasters and events related to current topics that need to come to the knowledge of the public. She has also freelanced and written news articles for websites and imparting knowledge to aspiring media students at ILead, Institute of Leadership and Development in Kolkata as visiting faculty.
Prema believes the youth are the future of the Nation and will carry the baton forward in a constantly changing world. Her hobbies include reading, adventure sports, fitness and wellness related activities like running, yoga, strength and endurance training and participates in marathons across the country. Prema’s aim is to compete in marathons across the world and help the running community in Kolkata. Theatre has been another passion and she has participated in three plays in pivotal roles
