Sauraveswar Sen

Sauraveswar Sen (Chief Mentor & Founder, Catalyst) : With a decade of experience in training students for competitive entrances, Sauraveswar established Catalyst in 2011 by switching gears from working as a Design Engineer with Mettler Toledo Inc. to what he was most passionate about – teaching. At 23, he was the youngest trainer delivering sessions at nationally reputed training institutes for GRE, GMAT, IELTS, CLAT & CAT.  Sauraveswar was quick to identify the non-participation of Humanities/PureArts students in professional core opportunities and he envisaged Catalyst as a bridge to minimise the gap between the prospects in Science-Commerce to that of Humanities. Till now, over 400 students trained at Catalyst have been able to successfully craft a career as human service professionals and are working with multi-laterals like the UN, UNICEF, WHO, with Corporate Social Responsibility verticals, policy think tanks, national and international grass-root level organisations and social enterprises after successfully qualifying for the entrance tests and interviews of Bachelors and Masters courses at the leading institutions of social sciences in India and Abroad. In 2018, Sauraveswar was empaneled with Tata Institute of Social Sciences for Campus Placement Training. Sauraveswar also contributes career related Articles to ‘Prastuti’ of Anandabazar Patrika, The Telegraph,Times of India and Femina.
