Souma Sekhar Gangopadhyay, a public policy and government advisory professional working on areas related to digital era governance, government outcomes, public service delivery, institutional reforms, digital pathways of governance and anticipatory governance will be consulting with the Logistics Division for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Prior to the current assignment, during the peak pandemic, Souma was a District Development Fellow, Jalandhar District and then a Governance Fellow with the Government of Punjab. “The District Development Fellowship has been designed”, says Souma, “to provide a platform for young professionals to contribute to the strategic planning, training and capacity building of stakeholders, ground-level implementation of interventions while also conducting research and documentation of state initiatives in Punjab.”

Souma Sekhar Gangopadhyay joined the Catalyst training programme to prepare for Masters in Social Sciences while pursuing B.A. English Literature at Scottish Church College Kolkata.
He was selected for Master’s in Public Policy and Governance at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, went to Paris as an Erasmus+ Scholar (Spring 2018) and member of the Policy Lab at the School of Public Affairs, Sciences Po. Souma completed his UG studies at Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta with a First Class and Miller Legacy Prize after Birla High School (School President, KIZUNA Exchange Scholar, and School Captain).
