School of Media and Cultural Studies, TISS Mumbai will be presenting a part of their findings on gender and work on screen and behind screen of Hindi cinema in a presentation titled ‘Breaking the Screen Ceiling: Gender and Work in Hindi Cinema’ at the 53rd International Film Festival India at Goa today, 24th Nov 2 pm. The Panel has a presentation and conversations led by Meenakshi Shedde and Rashmi Lamba with Lakshmi Lingam, Pushan Kripalani and Shilpa Phadke.

This presentation is part of a larger project titled ‘Lights, Camera and Time for Action: Recasting Gender Equality Compliant Hindi Cinema’ funded by the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai. The final report to be released soon.”, said Lakshmi Lingam, Dean, School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences in her LinkedIn post.
