“Sahayatha” is a unique self cleaning assistive device which helps the immobile population to take care of their toileting and self cleaning with less dependance, hygiene and dignity. “Sahayatha” is a smart wheelchair + Bedside toilet + self cleansing assistant + inbuilt water + Backward commode collection + Recline.
Sruthi was a “Sparsh” Fellow with KIIT Technology Business Incubator under the aegis of Social Innovation and Immersion Programme (SIIP) of BIRAC – Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) – a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, set up by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech enterprise to undertake strategic research and innovation, addressing nationally relevant product development needs.
Professor Satyajit Majumdar, (Entrepreneurship Educator, Professor at TISS) Co – chair of Steering Committee on Biotechnology based programme for Societal Development with BIRAC said “After our initial facilitation, she worked hard to make it successful”
